Information R/evolution

The Gutenberg Revolution -- introduction of the movable-type printing press in the 15th century -- revolutionized how human beings look at, organize, categorize, arrange the world. Because of the German Johannes Gutenberg, books began to have page numbers, indexes, tables of content and author accountability. Now in the 21st century, the Internet Revolution has changed the ordering of our world yet again.

this is a very interesting video, it shows how the world developed and how we are living a very easy life thanks to Gutenburg. since the movable revolution and with all the organization which occurred with it, the world started to sort out categories, indexes and add tags which help people to find all what they need nowadays with key words only. the technology attracts people to have an easy and fast life with the internet which gets you what you want with the small click.

I find this video very annoying. It disturbed my concentration. It was fast and so many words to show us how fast you can get information through the internet. if this was an AD i would say it is a bad one since everyone already gets what the internet is. We don't need statistics to prove that it is the best way to quickly acquire the information we need.

In the begging I want to thank you for this interesting video. In 15th century, information revaluation started with books, newspapers and journalizes. The people were interested in this kind of information, but they have difficulty to find a specific book or to read a specific subject. The rich people were the people who can read because they can buy it. The poor people were had some difficulty in reading because some of them didn’t know how to read or they hadn’t money. Even of these problems, the information revolution completes the way to develop. In this century, the internet becomes the Primary source for our research in schools and universities. It is very easy way to find what we need. Millions of people can inter the “internet world” and find what they want by one word. It is true that internet consider an important source to our works, but it makes us far away from reading books or getting information we don’t really need it in our studies. Also, a lot of articles in the internet could be an authoritative or has wrong information. The Internet change our life and make the information come to us easily but it makes us lose an expensive source “BOOK”.

The You Tube video regarding how research was conducted prior to the development of the Internet was very interesting and informative.

Before Internet came to this world conducting research seems like it was a tedious and boring process and that requires a lot work and is very time consuming.

Today, research can be conducted quickly and easily and a person is able to find resources to support their topic. But, this process does involve making a researcher to build important decisions.

There are a lot of materials on the Internet, which are inaccurate and not reliable sources of information. Another difficulty is that many people just cut and paste material from sources. Perhaps it is easier to find information quickly, but evaluating the usefulness of this information brings with it a variety of other problems to navigate and choose the right information.
