Goggle Goes Mobile

Here's a headline to strike terror in the hearts of telephone companies around the world:

Google sees its future in mobile technology

And that was the headline of a business story in the print edition of The National last week datelined Barcelona. In a keynote speech at the Mobile World Congress, Google's chief executive said straight out that the internet search giant is going Mobile, because that's where the action -- and the advertising potential -- is. He pointed out that Mobile users are going online eight times faster than users of desktops did a decade ago. Google is finding that more than half of its search engine queries come for mobile phones.

So Skype (see previous post) isn't the main worry of the mobile network folks. Where does an 800-pound gorilla sit? Anywhere it wants.

Its a great idea and google in mobile save my time a lot. i already have google in my mobile and im addicted to it. Users can access Google News from their mobile browser by clicking the link from the search engine's home page. The mobile version provides news categories in the same way the online version does. users also see the same customised content modules that are featured on their web version. thanks to Google

If Google goes Mobile many competitive companies may lose their place. Since Blackberry already give us the access to the internet and the most used site is Google. If Google goes mobile sure it will take lead as fast as blackberries did and maybe faster. Google is already a trade mark. Students always refer to research as Google. So it already got the place of identification. On top of that Google already got many technologies that is spread in the mobile world such as Google talk and google map therefore the only thing it can do is put all its technology in one handled for it to leap in 2010 future. Not forgeting that Motorla already announced that it would add Google search engine to its new mobiles.

Google goes mobile is excellent idea since people relay on their mobile in receiving emails and visit the internet. It will be easier will save time to search within your mobile if you were in a hurry or in the car, rather than opening your laptop or running to your office.

I agree with Fatima and Sara,
Google mobile will be a good idea to save people's time and money. Now most people use google search engine to search for different thing and if they will have a chance to do that anywhere they will be pleased and interested. Also as Sara said, Google mobile many competitive companies will lose their place because people use google most of their time and by google mobile they will not have to click on a link or something like that to look for google, but directly will press an icon and get google search home page or google tools.
