Where's the Line Between Blog and Newspaper?

The Christian Science Monitor, a well-respected international newspaper that recently stopped publishing anywhere but online, says the line gets more blurred all the time. "As traditional media gets 'bloggier,' blogs begin to look more like their traditional forebears," according to the Monitor. What blogs do you follow? What newspapers?

i like blogs very much i see that it is true that The best newspapers are going to end up looking like the best blogs, and the best blogs are going to end up looking a lot like the best newspapers, blogs. for me i follow yahoo and google blogs. In blog you can add whats your opinion and leave comments and look at what other say and get feedback. But in print newspaper you cant.I read online The gulfnews, the National and Emiratalyoum i see these newspaperS consider like a blog because you can post your comments also. I like Rosenstiel when he say the length of the story too short for people who are interesting in the subject.

blogs are more personal and are very interesting because you get to see how people react to certain stories. A lot of news stations lost its credibility and i am very skeptical about what is given to us. i keep asking myself what if that's not true? what if they're biasing the story? so blogs kind of gives me the digested version of the information, according to the person who ate it.

i think that news and blogs are totally different and will never be the same. Newspaper gets the facts and news of all the world to cover everything to people while blogs are something personal. people add articles or news which interests them and they like. adding to that, they can add their opinion and change it as much as they want. in my opinion, i think that there is a BIG line between Blogs and Newspaper because blogs will never be as truth and trustful as the newspapers.

It's interesting how blogs work!

They have such an effective role especially on the younger generation.

I once saw a documentary how the current President of the United States Obama, was the first between his former competitions the first to use blogs and the internet in general as one of his campaign strategies to encourage young citizens to vote.

So, I do think blogs are more effective than newspapers, because, they are most reachable, nowadays, you can set any alert to your mobile phone and get the recent news faster than a newspaper!

blogs become very important in providing new information and it always updated. i think blogs are important because its personal and every one can use it. also, the blogs users can share their stories with audience and get feedback. on the other hand, blogs miss the credibility and i personally don't believe every things i read in blogs.

I think newspaper is better than blogs because in newspaper the journalist can’t put anything wrong in the newspaper. About the blogs, everyone can put anything, true or wrong. For me it is better to read from newspaper more than blogs. I am not a good user for internet so I am not a follower for any kind of blogs. But there is blogs have really meaning and it considers as a good reference for some readers who always uses internet
